Weeooff.

Sorry about the lag time between posting. It's been an interesting week and a half or so.
Happy Hanukkah!

Sing quietly to me,
my soft falling tree
Who's base which split
On which now ants may sit
There is splendor for the eye to see

The river runs its slow and lazy course
A steadied mantis, no movements forced
Beneath a clear, if sullied surface
Lies the breadth of years, Nature's opus

Whisper softly to my hope,
this ever falling slope
The path covered
By leaves, which trees mothered
And which over the animals have loped

A broader band of my sight fits here
It is all the better, for my mind now steers
A course that keeps its purpose at hand
While giving Nature herself true command

Shout aloud "I am here!"
amid this plain of green
Unimaginable a sight
Amid this palette with dark afright

This place gives in purpose, greater I cannot mean
And ahead lies my course, towards Nature is steered

I once stumbled across a place like this
And in all my adventures, it is what I always missed
A place so tranquil, a luminous narration
A commonplace reststop, the simple imagination.
